Mommy's Arroz Con Leche (Rice Pudding Recipe).


Hello lovelies, and welcome back to the maytrain! Today's post is very special and dear to my heart because I am about to share a recipe that I grew up really enjoying. My mother is an excellent cook and is never afraid to be inventive while doing so. I remember how refreshing it was to have a sweet treat that I could eat either hot or cold, and it would be delicious both ways! This recipe was enough for my three roommates and I.

What you will need:

1 cup of rice

2 cups of water

2 cinnamon sticks

1/2 of 1/2 a gallon of milk. (I used 2%)

1/2 can of condensed milk

Start cooking the rice in a sauce pan by adding your cup of rice, two cups of water, and two cinnamon sticks all together and wait until the rice is soft, but not fully cooked. Next, add half of the 1/2 gallon of milk along with half of the condensed milk can (which is what actually makes the rice pudding sweet), let it come to a boil, and wait until rice is fully cooked.
