Lee's Fried Chicken and Donuts

Hello lovelies and welcome back to the maytrain! Ok, so I have to talk about this little treasure place in Houston, TX.

Fried Chicken and doughnuts is something you never thought you needed in your life. Of course, everyone has heard about chicken and waffles, but you don't ever really hear about chicken and doughnuts. Let me tell you... it is life changing. I am not usually one who enjoys sweet and savory things (I hate salted caramel anything), but this is an exception for me. While my friends and I were exploring Houston's amazing sights, museums, art galleries, and it's awesome water wall, we discovered this neat little restaurant that is Lee's Fried Chicken and Donuts. The place has a very neat, classic, retro look to it. It's not a big facility, but it doesn't feel cramped either (unless there is a big line, and sometimes there is, but don't worry it goes by fairly quickly). Their signature dish is probably the Double Donut Fried Chicken Sandwich. It is exactly what it sounds like: two donuts with some chicken tenders in the middle- like a sandwich. It. Was. Amazing.
