3 Ways to Get Motivated to Work Out for Visual Learners

We all know that the first week we decide to work out again, we start off super motivated and then quickly get burned out afterwards. This happens to me ALL the time. However, I am a visual learner and what that means for me, is that my brain is stimulated very quickly when I see and hear things. Believe it or not, this has come to my advantage when it comes to getting motivated to work out. If you're visual like me, here are some tips to help you stay motivated to be the healthiest you can be:

1. Watch an Inspirational Video

This is my go-to tip. Every time I am feeling lazy and making excuses for myself, I usually watch this wonderful girl on YouTube named Cambria Joy. Her channel is a lifestyle channel that focuses on health and fitness. I love watching her videos- not only because I can relate to her since we share the same faith, but her attitude towards health and fitness is contagious. She is so encouraging and real, she's not afraid to talk about real issues, and she talks about them in such a gentle and spirit filled way. Go watch her now! (I could make a whole blog post about her, but I'm just going to move on now lol).

2. Pinterest, Pinterest, Pinterest!

I am a little obsessed with this app, honestly, I think it's timeless. Anyway, sometimes I have a hard time creating a work out for myself especially if I want to focus on a certain area of my body, and Pinterest never fails. I just search what kind of workout I am looking for, and they usually have a myriad of sets to chose from. (my pinterest name: Ericka May).

3. Put It in Your Planner!

Scheduling your work outs for a certain amount of time, and physically seeing them written down in your planner can be very helpful, because it will give you the satisfaction of crossing it off your to-do list and let's face it, seeing your planner at the end of the day with your to-do list all scratched off, feels pretty darn good.

I hope these tips helped you out a bit! I'm gonna go watch a Cambria video now.

:)
