Update..... Hurricane edition

So, we had a little bit of a hurricane around here... her name was Hannah.

It's fair to say that no one in the Valley thought too much about what this storm could do. No one was truly prepared, including us. Because of that, this will be a recap of day 3, 4, and 5

Day 3 started out great:

I woke up a little late for breakfast, but I had a sweet potato enchilada for lunch and strawberries for a snack

I was going on about my day, and then the storm got worse. However, we thought it was just going to be a lot of rain, so we decided to go to HEB and grab some stuff to cook dinner and head home.

Not long after getting home, our power went out and we couldn't cook our dinner, so we actually went to bed pretty hungry. It was a long night and it quickly got muggy in the house. :(

this is how our street looked the next morning:

The next morning, we still didn't have power. Everything that could be a meal, I had to cook. Pique and I spent the day snacking on pita chips and hummus, popcorn, and crackers. By the time 3pm rolled around, we were super hungry. Thankfully, our friends had power and invited us over to stay the night at their place- which was SO NICE. They fed us, and guys we had frozen pizza. Now, I could have starved, but I didn't. Pique and I were so hungry, we were just willing to eat whatever anyone gave us.

Today was better. I have no pictures so I am sorry!

For breakfast, our friend made some healthy breakfast tacos with egg whites and ham. We found out our power came back on, so we took all of our stuff and headed home.

I didn't feel like cooking because honestly, I was exhausted, so I got a chicken Caesar wrap from McAllister's (this might be my new obsession tbh), with jalapeño chips, and some grapes for a snack.

For dinner I had beef and broccoli that I made.

Guys... tomorrow I am bouncing back! I promise.
